1.
The axe is at the root of the tree But we’ve grown to love the thrill. Ideology has cursed the narrative And the vultures have carved their new name. Ideology has cursed the narrative And this song will never end. Trusting human nature was our first mistake. We’ve grown malnourished in rebellion. In this manufactured parade, Violence is now second nature And we only have ourselves to blame. Slaves to bad habits turned precedent. Dead weight. The axe is at the root of the tree. Dead weight. We wanted change, so we hired a liar.
2.
Gypsy Danger 02:43
Turbulence and white noise. I put all of my weight on a falling fence and pretended to not know what to expect. All of my pre-existing convictions led me to become this: Crocodile with a muzzle. Towers of teeth grown rusted. When all else has faded, only the pain of losing you feels real. Habitual end. Left to guess the age of shadows at the edge of perception. Hunter envelopes hunter. Cover your regrets, that skin is showing through. Bridge burnt out. Crows blacked out. Watching a blind man struggle from the comfort of distant clouds. I'm stuck in my ways again. Predator encompasses predator.
3.
From a little spark may burst a flame. Strip it all away. Lay me before the foundation of the world, exposed to see. Content to drown in casteless ire, but these scars are not for show. I brought this fight to our doorstep and let my war occupy our home. You didn’t say I would drown like this. You never said I’d have to swim before I tied this anchor around my wrist. I was a walking island Most profound at the lowest point. Reactions of an ocean liner paired with a condemned flight path. I am ruin. Breathless. Speechless. Our hands entwined bring life once again. “Why are you doing this alone?” I’ve heard these words before, But redemption feels so much different from the grave. A bride deserves so much more.
4.
Go ahead, ignore the look in my eyes Telling you it’s time to leave. This cage has become our home, All that we have ever known. Thirteen years, without a glimpse of light. “Don’t remove the blindfolds, lest we die.” The parasites stay true to their claim. Raise the cup, and say your prayers; makeshift safety. Raise the cup, and say your prayers; prepare for silence. The voice I heard so long ago, where has it gone? Why, why, have you forsaken me?
5.
Timberline 02:05
I shot an arrow through the sun Until piece by piece, the whole thing came down. I watched it fall Crushing waterfalls poured from the side of a fading heartbeat. I lost myself witnessing that giant’s demise Perceptions breed misconceptions. Echoes of a bridge long forgotten. Paint the sun as it once was; Dare to ask: Paint it as it once was.

Autumn Diver 02:22
If we sound the alarm, Then was this all for naught? Is there still time to turn things around? Blistering stares from afar. There are no more chances for surrender. Don’t tell me the odds of making it back alive. We knew what we signed up for. Passing knives under the table in halfway investments Overcome by masked men with clear agendas The river always leads to the lake. Trust is a powerful thing And, in the end, I have nothing to show for it. Drape me with pride, ship me to sea. When it’s all said and done, this door remains closed. Pass those knives, see how long your fingers last.
8.
Take one for the team, claim the bit for your own mouth. Fake it to the end, Memories forgotten for the promise of salvation. Imitation crown Take their words as your own. I see the fear in your eyes. The shake in your hands. Not even a viper smile Can hide your sharpened fangs. All things will be made known, No stone left unturned. The past will have its say. I know you for who you really are. You’ll have to shed your skin someday. And in the end, you can’t even save yourself. Serpent in sheep’s clothing Even those you’re fooling Will one day have their revenge. All things will be made known. You liar, You snake. Quote that holy book all you want, sing to me all those beautiful hymns. The only thing that’s going to fall isn’t a dove, but the kingdom you built.
9.
The rot has overtaken my life Loss of cognition, dulled senses The rot has overtaken my soul Depravity has laid its claim, and I’m losing control Breathe in this emptiness Decay the optimist These bones will break for nothing less Restore one last fix Shame has made me a broken man Afraid to speak, afraid to be Paralysis of my own doing Laid under the knife Will these incisions cure me of my grief, or am I damned to this incessant torment? Hands of wrath Destruction to everything I touch Hands of wrath Destruction to everything I love Dragging you into hell with me You never asked for this Dragging you into hell with me You never asked for this
10.
Revolt! I thought the noose couldn’t get any tighter than this How many times must we go back to the abyss? Insecure vaccine I wanted to be a symphony instead of a withered saint. This is the deadly game Of a sword caught in my throat. Born an eagle watching the moon Now a worm hunting alone All I can see are my bitter thoughts dressed in broken glass. Do not let us make believe Life is a linear march to the grave Bite down until you feel bone Turn to hope in a world that wants No victory, only accomplices
11.
Five Eyes 02:52
I keep slipping into the dark. You’ve told me once, you’ve told me a million times. Hands are for healing, not for submission. You know this is wrong. I will not be blamed for giving up. Oxygen is poison. There’s no difference when I open my eyes. I keep slipping into the dark And no one is there to save me. Muffled cries absorbed into a busy street Wandering eyes do nothing for this pain. What good is sympathy with a barrel pointed at my head? What good is sympathy if I’m dead? There has to be a breaking point. There has to be an end to this. Don’t you forget, they say, we’ll be there when you’re in need. Don’t you forget, they say, everything will be fine if you listen and comply. “Please just leave me alone. I told you the last time, please leave me alone. Please, please, don’t touch me. Do not touch me. I can’t breathe. Please, please, don’t touch me. Do not touch me. I can’t breathe.”
